Para:noir was one of the up and coming bands that I was keeping a close eye on these past two years. The main thing I like about this band is the vocalist, Akane (and not just because he’s sexy). He’s one of those singers that has the ability to switch between low, mid and high tone vocals and toxic growling to high pitched screams. He’s diverse in his styles and has a pretty good voice to back it up. Para:noir’s music in itself is pretty diverse as well. They’re a combination of Metal meshed with Screamo and Electronica. I can’t say that any of their songs really sound alike, which is a good thing in todays music scene where bands tend to release the same song over and over. The only downside I have with this band is that they disbanded before they really hit their prime. I avoided posting their discography because I thought they had a bit more to go before they were a stable and polished band. Unfortunately, I guess they never were that stable. So here’s to a band that really had great potential.
